  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 3/4 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/4 c. milk
  • 2 tbsp. orange juice
  • 1 egg
  • 3 c. all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 1/2 c. coarsely chopped cranberries
  • 1 c. chopped nuts
  • BROWNED BUTTER GLAZE: 1/3 c. margarine or butter 2 c. powdered sugar 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla 4 tbsp. hot water


Mix sugars and margarine.

Stir in milk, orange juice and egg.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop by rounded teaspoon full about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375 degrees until light brown, 10 to 15 minutes.

GLAZE: Heat margarine or butter over low heat until golden brown, cool slightly.

Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.

Beat in hot water until smooth and of desired consistency.
