- 1 c. powdered sugar
- 1 c. granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. oil
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cream of tartar
- 5 c. flour
Mix thoroughly and drop by rounded teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten with sugared glass and crisscross with fork.
Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 12 minutes until a delicate brown on edges.
Makes about 6 dozen.
Variations: 1 cup chopped nuts, almond flavoring, chocolate chips or whatever you like.
